GRI-HAPCalc is a Windows-based program that estimates emissions of hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) and criteria air pollutants from natural gas industry operations. It calculates fugitive and point-source emissions from amine sweetening and sulfur recovery units, engines, combustion turbines, small external combustion devices, flares, natural gas liquid storage tanks, truck loading, and process vents. The software can reduce costs by identifying process units that are significant sources of emissions that may require further study or sampling. It can also be used to screen emission sources to determine emission rates that may exceed federal or state regulations. New features in Version 3.0 include integration of the GRI-HAPData database program, calculation of emission factors from user test data, HAPCalc Navigator, option to use metric units of measure, new emission sources, ability to estimate flashing losses from liquid hydrocarbon storage tanks, updated EPA and GRI Field Test emission factors, manufacturer-specific engine emission factors, and output compatible with the Air Emissions Inventory Report Management (AIRCalc) software package.
GRI-HAPCalc is compatible with Windows 98/2000/XP SP3 and computers with a 32-bit CPU only. This software is NOT compatible with the Vista or Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems.
