Summary:
Federal regulations governing LNG dispersion protection (49 CFR 193.2059) specify DEGADIS as an acceptable means of determining flammable vapor-gas dispersion distances. After the user supplies information on local conditions (e.g., wind speed, temperature, humidity, surface roughness) and on the LNG spill (release rate, source radius), the program generates output files that describe the spatial and temporal evolution of the contaminant concentration profile. The CD includes a newly written user manual and the detailed documentation cited in 49 CFR 193, which provides background information on the development of the model. DEGADIS 2.1 is a DOS program that has been modified to run under Windows.

Compatibility:
DEGADIS is compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 on 32-bit machines. It is not compatible with 64-bit machines.

Support:
This software is sold as is. GTI offers no technical support for this software product. The DEGADIS 2.1 CD includes the original 1989 user manual and has several examples in it. The CD also includes a document called READ THIS FIRST.doc, which has a flow chart that guides the user in using the various DEGADIS modules in the correct sequence to get useful results. No other documentation is available.
