The work accomplished covers the following areas: a) utility requirements, b) chemicals, c) cost estimation, and f) technical and economical evaluation. There were four cases investigated, two 10 LTD cases with low and high CO2 (carbon dioxide) loading and two 76 LTD cases again with low and high CO2 loading. The results were tabulated in order of increasing overall sulfur recovery capability, and order of magnitude investment and operating costs were calculated.
