Validation Testing of a Gravimetric Method to Measure CNG Compressor Oil Carryover
The new method was found to be a valid alternative under certain conditions. It can be used when there is no need to differentiate between the liquid (aerosol) and vapor phases of the measured oil carryover.
NGV Fueling Station Compressor Oil Carryover Measurement and Control
This report presents an evaluation of the absorption rates of heavy hydrocarbons, the major component of mineral lubricating oils, in compressed natural gas. Effect of oil carryover on gas storage, engine, and engine fueling system is discussed, as well as the methods of reducing oil carryover (e.g., proper compressor maintenance and use of alternative lubricants).
Propane-Air Peakshaving Impact on Natural Gas Vehicles
National trends in propane-air peakshaving activity were surveyed to evaluate the potential impact that propane-air peakshaving may have on natural gas vehicle (NGV) market and the economic implications of a variety of solutions at a station level to temporary gas composition anomalies arising from the peakshaving activities.
